Capt. Bill Taylor took me on many, man, trips. I have caught lots of pounds of crab and a huge Steelhead trout/salmon. But the most fun was in the Waldport bay catching tons of huge crab and then watching them get boiled and tasting such a feast!

More than being a great guide, Bill is a fishing coach. Besides having you catch fish, for the various bodies of water and species he will teach you what to do, how to do it and why. I learned something new on every one of my many trips with Bill for the last several years. And I’m looking forward to the next one!

I live in Ca and make 3 trips a year to fish for salmon. As you can imagine the cost for travel, lodging and fishing is a nice hit to the wallet. I started fishing with Bill a couple years ago and now he is my 1st choice when time to book a trip. He puts you on fish and if you listen to his guidance more likely than not you will put one in the boat. Keep doing your thing Bill.

At the cleaning table thoughtless asshole – thought he owned the public cleaning station. Said he would be quick but wasn’t at all, needed to drink his beer and clean his fish bag before he allowed the line waiting to clean their fish. Would not use this guy if he were the last guide on the planet! F off you POS!!!!

Hi fellow fishermen and women. I got the opportunity to fish and crab with Bill Taylor the owner of Osprey Guide Adventures. Just went fishing with him last week on one of his favorite mid-coast rivers. We went 5 for 5 on steelhead. His boat is brand new and his equipment was top of the line. Three of our five fish caught were directly because he told us exactly where to cast to catch a fish in holding water. Bill was so good about telling us why the fish were in certain spots. Some guides are out there for the money. Bill is out there for the love of the sport. He is not over priced on his trips and he gives you a full day plus of fishing. I know of nobody that also offers summer and fall crabbing trips. His jet sled is huge and 6 of us limited on dungeness crab in about 4 hours in late August. He cleaned all of our crab after they were cooked. I am already booked for a steelhead and crabbing trip again. A great family man who is fun to be around.

I highly recommend Bill as a fishing guide. He is someone who will come prepared with the right gear, fresh bait and a comfortable boat making for a great relaxing day on the water. He will work hard and put in the time to get you into a fish. He is not afraid to change techniques until he finds a method that is working. At the end of the day he will clean your catch and send you on the way. Bill is the consummate professional, no need to worry about rough language even when a rookie mistake is made. He is interested in making sure you have a great time.

As always Bill of Osprey Guide Adventures knew the water well. We floated by outstanding scenery and fished every part of the Nestucca. It was great to nail my first Winter Steelhead! A worthwhile Trip.
